So - last post on this particular journey. Thanks for all the feedback I have had from all our friends and family, from way back and more recently-met, around the globe who check out the site regularly - we miss you and this has been a great way to keep you 'in the loop'. Like much else in life, this trip was conceived as one thing and ended up very much another. Our original idea was to spend 6 months each in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and then come back to the UK, job done.  Almost a year and a half later and having circumnavigated (albeit not in an orderly fashion) the globe, we have decided to live back in South Africa . 'Why??!!', everyone asks. Short answer: because we love it here.  Long answer is too long and would involve things like: kids’ school, cost of living, standard of living, food, people, mountain, food – things like that. I will always miss the UK but now understand that I have been an ex-pat somewhere or other almost as long as I was a 'pat'.  I am thinking of continuing to post pics from Cape Town and will let you know the address when I get it together. Here's to the next adventure!
