Rock pools, waterfalls, lovely views and the car ferry to the other side of the bay. We drive from the Bay of Islands down to Wellington. Auckland's skytower, the tallest in the southern hemisphere has a revolving restaurant where we celebrate Fathers' day. Rainbow's End theme park provides a quick adrenalin surge on our long drive south. Rotorua leaves an impression - the air is thick with sulphur fumes from the bubbling mud pools. Wellington's Te Papa museum has a fascinating Lord of the Rings exhibit as well as so much more and we spend two full days there. | ||||||
