Sallie Jones Elementary holds a 'character tea' which is a parade of kids dressed as a favourite book character. There is no 'tea' involved which is probably a good thing as it is HOT that day. There are lots of 'Harry Potters' and 'Hermiones' which probably has something to do with the proximity of Hallowe'en and the proliferation of pointy hats in the shops. The kids are not impressed with the grub so until Jamie Oliver gets over here, it is packed lunches from now on.
